Three baby quilts
I was a little behind in my projects - one great niece was born in May, and two more little ones are due in the next two months. So, I grabbed up some charm packs and some additional pieces from my collection and whipped up some baby quilt tops in a weekend. I used the Disappearing Nine-patch pattern, and used a coordinating yardage for both an inner and outer border (with the inner border fabric used again in the binding).
I then found some reasonable backing fabric in my stash. I sewed the three backs together, and loaded them on the longarm. It was so much easier to knock out the quilting all at one time! After that, it was just binding and labeling. Time to go and cuddle with the babies!
