I saw this pattern and it took me two years to find all the material I needed....then around five years later I started what has become one of my all time favorites. The colors in this quilt have always spoken to me and I often find myself standing in quilt shops looking at fabrics that contain them. The quilting is done to mimic the leaves in the small background print.

I started this quilt 20 years ago and it just sat. When I retired, I vowed that I would get it done or throw it out! Well, I finished it! It is pieced using rotary-cut strips. I used the Eleanor Burns envelope method without a binding instead of the traditional quilt sandwich, and I "tied" it using my home sewing machine, with the knots to the back. I pieced the back using left over strips and fabric (I over bought!). The photos show the front and then the back of the quilt.

Made this for a friend's birthday present. This is the largest quilt I have made so far. I used the Sisters Choice quilt block by the fat quarter shop.
