This was my 4th quilt top but the first I have actually quilted. I used a simple criss-cross stitch. The pattern was Pearl Pereria's Easy Nine Patch and I used Robert Kaufman's Fusion Sand and StudioE's Blessings II fabrics. I used DMC 50 wt thread in a neutral color.

Springtime for Sarah

I made this for my daughter Sarah. I really enjoyed making the Disappearing Nine-Patch; it's one of my favorite patterns due to its versatility. It's also pretty easy; this was the third quilt I made. I cut a bundle of fat quarters into 5" charms and used the leftovers for the border; and I used a white jelly roll for the sashing.

Bennett's Quilt

This quilt was made for the birth of my nephew Bennett. I fell in love with the La Petite Ecole fabric collection by French general by moda. The sashing is Primitive Muslin pie crust. It has a wonderful rustic look. I quilted in the sashing around the blocks then hand tied with a red yarn in the middle of each pinwheel.

Elaine's Quilt

This was the 3rd quilt I made. I got the pattern online and liked the idea of the large centre piece. I had a lot of pinkish fabrics, so I threw in some green and went to town. I tried some FMQ in the centre square - not exactly a success - and used the backing to make the border.

Mandy's Quilt

Used the same pattern as Grandma Jan's quilt and used these lovely autumnal colours. I used a different wadding, purchased by the meter and unfortunately there was more shrinkage than any of my other quilts. I wasn't pleased but thankfully Mandy loves her quilt.
