Magic Diamonds (Half Square Triangle Quilt)

I love Kansas Troubles fabric and have MANY charm packs - all different. I also had Windham Fabrics Butter Pecan charm packs. After I saw the tutorial I decided to try it. This is very scrappy and old fashioned looking - which I like. This is also in the Block magazine.

Springtime for Sarah

I made this for my daughter Sarah. I really enjoyed making the Disappearing Nine-Patch; it's one of my favorite patterns due to its versatility. It's also pretty easy; this was the third quilt I made. I cut a bundle of fat quarters into 5" charms and used the leftovers for the border; and I used a white jelly roll for the sashing.

Aurelie's Quilt

Based on the same pattern as Elaine's quilt, I made this one because I loved the 20s feel of the centre square fabric. The first border is also very 20s art deco and I was very pleased with the way it turned out. I gave this to Aurelie for Christmas and she took it home to France with her to show it off - very proud of myself.

Elaine's Quilt

This was the 3rd quilt I made. I got the pattern online and liked the idea of the large centre piece. I had a lot of pinkish fabrics, so I threw in some green and went to town. I tried some FMQ in the centre square - not exactly a success - and used the backing to make the border.

Mandy's Quilt

Used the same pattern as Grandma Jan's quilt and used these lovely autumnal colours. I used a different wadding, purchased by the meter and unfortunately there was more shrinkage than any of my other quilts. I wasn't pleased but thankfully Mandy loves her quilt.
