This project saw me through the early days of Covid quarantine. The quilt was a surprise graduation gift using t-shirts from elementary through high school. Because of the extreme variation in sizes of the t-shirts, I knew that I didn't want to attempt the typical t-shirt quilt (columns and rows of squared shirts).

John Deere quilt

I made this oversized lap/throw for my brother's 79th birthday. We grew up on a farm and he always repaired any equipment that broke down. He has skilled hands. This was skillfully quilted by the wonderful staff at Missouri Star Quilting Company. The piece was a old panel I had in stash that was meant to be a man's apron. The plaids I recently cut up stash to workable sizes and the yellow and green as well as the Green Bay Packer material on the back are from past projects. I do hope it keeps him warm up north when he falls asleep in his recliner while watching TV.

Must love dogs

Carpenter's Star

Dog Groominig Bandanas

This quilt is made from the bandanas that our dogs are wearing when we pick them up from the groomer. My daughter wanted a small quilt to protect the special quilt I made for her from our dogs that like to lay on her bed and look out the window. On the MSQC site, she found the boarder fabric that has tiny paw prints and she also found the back fabric that has dogs wearing bandanas. I had MSQC quilt this with a dog bone pattern and they, as always, did a great job.

Rooster Race

Double Dipping w/ Pillow Case

Saw this Cozy Quits Design pattern in a tutorial on YouTube. Had some scrap fabrics in my stash. Created the two quilts specified in the pattern and went on to create a matching pillow case for one of them for my daughter. I had MSQC quilt these. They did a great job.

Cotton Rainbow with a Twist

I loved this Cozy Quilt Designs pattern. I changed the background from a light color to black and added the pieced boarders around the sides. Finished size after washing is 56" x 56". I had this quilted by MSQC. They did a great job!

Butterfly Bloom

I saw this Cozy Quilt Designs pattern on YouTube and loved the way the blocks looked. I am showing the quilt on the longarm because the quilt was sold before I thought to take a picture of it. I finished another quilt top for this patern with rainbow colors and a black background and will post it once quilted. This was my first effort doing my own edge to edge quilting.

Treadewinds with a twist

I saw this Cozy Quilt Designs Tradewinds quilt in a tutorial on YouTube and loved the large pinwheel blocks. I used the design and then added the top and bottm pieced boarders. I had MSQC quilt this one for me. I couldn't resist requesting the swirl design for the pinwheels. They did a great job!
