Scrappy Happy Grey Lone Star Quilt

{Quilt #7} I used betteroffthread.com's tutorial for a half lone star quilt. I added the boarder down the side for balance and also added a row across the back using the same fabric as is in the star. I don't recall the exact measurement but it was made as a baby gift for the child to grow into.

Superhero Placemats

Our son has recently moved to Canberra with work. He has furnished and is decorating his unit in his own eclectic style. He bought 4 different superhero cushions for his lounge/sofa. I found this Superhero fabric and made 4 different placemats and coasters for him. I hope they suit his nerdy style and decor.

Placemats for music lovers

I saw this music fabric in a LQS recently and thought it would make the perfect fronts for placemats for my son and daughter in law. They both love music and met in Orchestra. They are reversible with a simple white on black pattern on the back. I used straight line quilting and am quite leased with them. They actually look better than the picture.

Univ Of KY Wedding Quilt

Bacon, Bacon, Bacon

Placemats and napkins made for an adoption fundraising event. The event was "Bacon for Baby" and was so much fun. Lots of bacon themed food and silent auction items. The baby will be our 6th grandchild. Praise God for adoption! The placemats and napkins are reversible using the tumbler template and bacon fabric for one side and a nice fall print for the reverse.

My partner admired a very complicated Amish-made star quilt we saw in a private collection. Asked me to make him one! I am a Beginner, no way would I attempt that quilt. It must have had a thousand pieces. So I chose this Labyrinth pattern and a year and a half later presented him with this quilt.
