    This was made for my granddaughter in law. This is a basic twister pattern. I used black & white jelly roll along with fushia and teal yardage cut into 2.5 strips. The back was done in teal and a fushia strip.

    The last few yards of Fresh Lilacs by Debbie Beaves of Maywood Studios remained in my favorite quilting shop. The shop also offered a Missouri Quilt Block Class, Goodnight Irene, from Missouri Quilt Magazine Book (Spring 2015 Vol. 2, issue 2) and I knew it was a match. Jennie's video tutorial helped a lot. It was a challenge to figure out what quilting design to use. Using my walking foot, I finally settled on straight line stitching in the "X" sections, free motion quilting in the squares and border. It's my first wedding quilt and I was so pleased with how it turned out.

    Who doesn't have a stack of leftover charm squares and strips from other projects? When I stumbled upon a television interview of Eleanor Burns with a group of women quilting in a log cabin, the pattern she used, Fabric Frenzy, caught my imagination. It was the first time I attempted a piecing technique she demonstrated. Having watched many of Jenny's videos, I feel they supported the completion of this project. I used my domestic machine to free motion stippling, flower and leaf designs. My sister-in-law now has the finished quilt gracing her living room couch where I found her black lab resting his head one afternoon :-)

I covered it in FMQ designs - and included some personal things like a Girl Scout Trefoil, Beach Ball, Hearts, a Dragonfly, Stars, my initials and Christina's name.

    This is the quilt I made for my 4 year old granddaughter. Each of the zig zag strips is done in a print representing things she liked at the time: dogs, bugs, dinosaurs, robots, ice cream, lemons (for lemonade), etc.
