Saw this pattern and technique in a Fons and Porter magazine years ago. I made the top, but ended up not liking my backing so I set it aside. This summer I've started trying to finish the UFO's or PUP's finished. I'm finishing up the binding as I write this.

Baby Mason's quilt

Mason's dad is my nephew and a few years ago gave the gift of a well to a village in Ghana. When he and his wife, a wedding planner and flower arranger, went to Ghana to be honored for their gift she brought me some wonderful fabric. I have been wondering what to do with it and then I found that I liked quilting. The pattern representing flowers in a basket using fabric from Ghana was a perfect hit. My Very First Quilt

My youngest daughter was born April 1, 1984. During the pregnancy a friend and I started a quilting class at a local fabric store. It was a sampler quilt with 12 inch blocks that were hand-pieced and hand-quilted on a hoop as we went. Every stitch was by hand! I finally finished the quilt when she was about one year old. She still has it, a little worn and tattered in places perhaps, but she loves it. She even took it to the hospital with her when her son was born recently. In looking at that quilt, I became interested in quilting again and am so thrilled that I have picked up a quilt project for my great granddaughter that I had put aside and have recently finished it. My next project will be for my new grandson. Stay tuned...

Half Square Triangles Baby Quilt

I joined a quilting group where we made quilts for donation. I wanted to make a boy-centric quilt as it seems that these are harder to come by. I used various bits of scraps tied together with the same background fabric throughout. This was a fun quilt to work with! Trains, cars, trucks, dogs and then all of those half square triangles to play with! I tried many different layouts but in the end, I really liked this simple layout the best. I was so happy with the finished quilt! I hope some little boy out there loves it as much as I did. :)

Brown Bear Baby Quilt

I was looking for a print to incorporate my niece's chosen colors - navy and green - for her second baby. When I spotted this Brown Bear fabric by Eric Carle, I knew this was it! I am still learning how to quilt, but braved some free motion echo quilting around each animal and some paw prints around the border. I used a variegated rainbow thread for the quilting. This made me nervous with my first free motion "live" attempt, but it turned out great! My little grand nephew loves the bright colors!

Streamer baby quilt for Jaime!

I found this quilt online at: http://ahhhquilting.blogspot.ca/2012/08/rainbow-stripes-baby-quilt.html I just loved it and is so simple to make, The coloured strips are raw edged and I did some free motion quilting to reflect the colours, pumpkins on the orange, limes on the green etc!

Quick Duck Baby Quilt

Baby came 5 weeks early so had to do a quick quilt. Used a panel I found on my last North Texas shop hop. A generous Australian lady in my Bernina Yahoo group helped me with the duck shaped label. (I had never thought to apply the label directly onto the backing. I had always made the label separate and stitched it to the backing.) Unfortunately too much wine was involved when I loaded the backing onto the frame and the label is upside down on the backing.
