I almost didn’t want to share this. I made it for my daughter for Christmas. When she was little she declared herself a “Pigatarian” and refuses to eat pork. She doesn’t know what to do with it, but it makes a comfy cushion for an uncomfortable loveseat I have in my sewing room. The fabric is This Little Pig by Elizabeth’s Studio.

Oh My Stars 1 & 2

My local quilt guild invited Pat Sloan to come talk in March. We were challenged at the February meeting to make one of these quilts by the time she came. I pulled charm packs and yardage from my stash, and couldn't decide which to make, so I made both. Both were quilted and bound in time for Pat's visit. Sweet Charms on Point

A teacher friend of my husbands will be retiring soon and this “girly” quilt will be for her. This is the easiest way to make a charms on point quilt. Watch Jenny’s video it sure simplifies the process. This was quite fun and very easy. I pulled leftovers from my stash so I had plenty for the “piano key” border. I used a bright pink Minky on the back as it gets very cold in the winter here. I used a double heart edge to edge quilting pattern with a variegated thread in matching colors. The quilting really shows up on the white sashing and on the Minky.

Stars over New Mexico

I created this quilt for my son. He had moved to New Mexico. However, it took me over 8 years because I first lost the pattern and then the quilt and then my son moved back. Thankfully with the help from a good friend and quilter I was able to finish this quilt. Welcome home son.

Memory Photo Quilt

Request by friend to create a photo quilt for her grandparents. I enjoyed this project being my first large photo quilt. This quilt includes 24 photos, digital prints from panel and I Used my embroidery/sewing machine. Was nervous also because of a chance the photoink would run. Washed 3 times with color catchers, pretreated photo fabric with Bubble jet 2000. Recipient loved the quilt

This is a fun checkerboard. I found a tutorial on redpepperquilt years ago and have made about four of these. If you just need to sit down and sew in a rather mindless way, this is my go-to. It's quilted with straight-line quilting and makes a perfect baby quilt or gift for someone who is ill.

Cheery Cherry 2018 BOM Lap Quilt

Our guild was challenged to do a block of the month in 2018. I was able to use some fabric I had in my stash and loved. I was short on some fabric, though, so I looked for a creative way to tie the blocks together for the quilt top. My love of stars, an ample amount of the cherry red, and a similar design in a quilt book yielded this design. My friend long-armed it for me in time to give to my mother for Valentine’s Day.
