Another COVID quilt. Still trying to use up my scraps. They are multiplying!

I wanted to learn to free motion quilt so I decided to make a quilt from scraps that could be a throw away to practice on. Each block was quilted with a different pattern to practice. It turned out to be a lot more time consuming to do the "wonky" part than I thought, With all the pattern, it was also not the easiest thing to be able see what I was doing when I was quilting. Oh well, live and learn. All that pattern hides a multitude of sins. Ha! I quilted this in my little Brother machine with the 5" work space. After that adventure I went out and bought a bigger machine! It turned out better than I thought it would. Pepper the cat approves. Large lap quilt 72x72.

This panel was passed on to me by another member.She said she didn't know what to do with it. In fact she passed me three panels, just alike, but I made each one different. I decided to frame this one with the braid using the small MSQC half hexie. She loved it and so did the Veteran! about 60 x 80

My friend has been doing a walk every year since her son died. I asked if I could make her a quilt in his memory and she sent me the shirts. I am pleased with how nice it turned out.

Stash buster...as I put these scraps together during my pandemic quarantine...my psuedo jelly roll race quilt really got big....so I cut off part and made 2 quilts. This is the smaller one...which is a larger lap size. Thanks to Missouri Star for quilting both. I am totally amazed that I didn't use up everything in my stash!!!

During the Covid 19 pandemic I kept myself busy by using up my stash of precuts!

This panel, Marcus Fabrics’ American Valor collection, by Faye Burgos was given to me by another QOV member, to do something with. The tan is Quilting Treasures Gettysburg Map, hence the name of my quilt. I just added borders and 4 corner stars.

I call this quilt airmail as it reminds me of the envelopes and airmail letters we used to send
