Ashley’s Mosaic Christmas
Hi, I had been saving colorful yardage I had purchased when there was a sale. When I found this Mosaic patter free from quiltedtwins.com I knew I was ready to make my quilt. Well my daughter came by in Feb or March when I was working cutting and piecing the top. She exclaimed, “ Mom, this one could be mine!” Well, any mother knows what that means so instead of the queen I was making, I had to turn it into a King. The top has been finished since March but with the times we are living in, I couldn’t go pick out and buy a colorful backing. Last week I remembered I had purchased a White on white backing on a trip to MSQC but wasn’t sure if it was enough. My quilt top was 108 inch either way. I barely had enough! The white side will give her a change and she can use a bed runner on the white and pillows to match for a different look. It took me 4 days to quilt on my 18 inch sit down. While quilting I thought it should be a crime to have a bed this big!-lol Even though I love how it came out, I am ready to gift it. I hope she likes the finish! If she does like it, I have enough fabric for shams except for back of shams. I sure would love another trip to Missouri Star to get some!-lol
