Spangled Stars Wall Hanging - A QAL Finish

I've finished my wall hanging for the Spangled Stars Quilt Along at QuiltFabrication! The original quilt is in the patriotic colors of red, white, and blue. I chose colors that match our guest bathroom as it will be hanging there. The "star" colors were changed to look like flowers, somewhat of a theme in the bathroom. I also changed the orientation of the striped blocks in the top and bottom rows to horizontal so they look like they encircle the quilt more.

Picket Fence Pattern in 6 Sizes from Wall to King

I am super excited to introduce Picket Fence to you! She is the second in my budding line of quilt patterns! Picket Fence is a versatile pattern that looks great in many fabric collections! Sweet pastels or bold, masculine prints are perfect for Picket Fence. The cover quilt is lap size in PB&J by Basic Grey. The pink, yellow and green version is the original Picket Fence in Spring quilt from 2012, making it up as I sewed. This quilt is the reason I named the pattern Picket Fence; it reminded me of a white picket fence on a lovely spring day, thus the name, Picket Fence in Spring. Recently I was asked about the pattern through my Etsy shop, and I decided it was time to write it! This pattern is layer cake friendly and comes with instructions for six sizes from wall hanging to king! The pattern includes fabric requirements for using layer cake squares or yardage. Custom HST Twin Quilt

My customer's choice of half-square triangles with bright fabrics was perfect! This quilt is in memory of my customer's daughter who passed away two years ago. She was a paramedic who loved children, as testified by the fun prints on her scrubs. The daughter loved word finds, and my customer found the perfect backing in this Cotton + Steel print! It has words like "CUTIE PIE" and "I LOVE YOU". The word find fabric is the perfect weight for backing, and the letters were super easy to line up when I pieced the backing, something that can be near impossible on lesser-quality fabrics. Another thing I really like about this fabric is the letters are printed both directions, normal and upside down, which means the fabric isn't directional and can be sewed together either way. The word find fabric also comes in navy and bright pink. This is the first time I have purchased a Cotton + Steel fabric, can you believe it? It also has the cutest selvage I have ever seen! Another quilt in which I remembered to put a label! I'm so loving my sew-in satin labels! Hands 2 Help Lap Quilt

This happy lap quilt is for the Hands 2 Help Quilt Challenge 2015. The blocks are 20" square with various width strips, laid out like a rail fence quilt. The backing is a Jennifer Paganelli print in light aqua with a yellow design. This quilt will be donated to the Layers of Hope - Quilting 911 which gives quilts to 911 dispatchers and their families. Rainbow Star Baby Quilt Pattern

I recently completed a Rainbow Star Baby Quilt as a custom order in my Etsy shop. This quilt is so fun to make, and the rainbow spectrum is totally dazzling! A white background is always sparkling with the rainbow, but the gray is more practical for a bouncing baby boy! Now that I have figured out EQ7, I was able to show the quilt to my customer with both a white and gray background, and she chose the gray. If you can't wrap your brain around EQ7, just hold onto it and wait a few years and then try again. That's what I did, and I just get it now! My brain just needed to age more, I guess! Labor of Love

This quilt is for my son. He selected the pattern "In The Middle" by Amanda Jean (Crazy Mom Quilts). I needed to enlarge it for a king size. It was quilted using "Bubble Vines" pantograph an King Tut thread. I chose the name Labor of Love, because only my 2 children deserve a quilt with this much love put into it. Used Tri Rec template for cutting triangles. Fabrics chosen by my son.

Disney Princesses

I saw a tutorial which intrigued me. I decided the pattern would be a good pattern to make a quilt for my 17 month old granddaughter Savannah; while at the same site I saw the daily deal of Disney Princess fabric and so the project formed in my head. The sashing was a challenge especially due to the angled sides but the quilt finally came to fruition. I did have a bad incident while making the quilt; I stumbled in my room while the quilt was laid out on the floor and I broke my right foot, this set me back by about 2 weeks in working on the project which was the 2nd of 4 I planned to have done by Christmas, but I managed to have the quilt done in time but without the label and under the tree.
