Thank You Quilt
Our dear friends put us up on weekends for several months so we wouldn't have to drive that 90 minute commute twice on a weekend. Dianna is blind now but had her sight when she was younger. She understands, color, design and shapes. She is married to a wonderful man that has a artistic eye and describes everything to her in detail. they were both beyond joyful when they unwrapped it this past weekend. I made a pillow with some of the leftover fabrics. Dianna is fiercely independent. She cooks, cleans, and bakes does laundry, irons with only the slightest help when is comes to measuring. She is an amazing woman and we are blessed to have her and her husband as our friends. The fabric is Grey Skies by Faye Burgos from my stash which is a couple years old and the pattern is the curved log cabin and backed with minky. I used a flange binding to add some pop.
