License Plate Quilt

For about three years I collected fabric license plates from fabric stores from all 50 states. Some of the states are represented by more than one license plate with a total of 68 plates in this quilt. I collected license plates from some states while traveling, some were given to me by friends and some I had sent to me from fabric stores in states I didn't visit. Each fabric license plate has its own cute title from the state it represents.

Woodland Creatures baby quilt

The two panels (and the center of the tree) were Row by Row kits in 2016, produced by Cary Quilting Co. I bought them with the intention of putting them together, and they've been hanging out in the to-do pile for a while. A co-worker announced that his wife was having their first child - a girl. I asked, and was told the theme was "woodland creatures." I immediately thought of this. I appliqued everything and put some additional borders on to keep it from being too skinny.I quilted it myself. The couple really liked this gift for their baby.
