My 23 year old son loves Star Wars and mention I should make him a quilt, thinking I could not to it: Challenge accepted and this is what I ended up with. Used Jennys wonky star to feature Yoda in the center of the quilt, and used wonky stars on the back. paperpieced the characters in each corner, and of course large light sabers on the sides.

Shrek

This quilt is named "Shrek" because it is "broken, but still good" . The story begins with my very first quilting retreat. My own sewing machine was in for service and I borrowed my daughters machine. These blocks were to be created for a charity quilt. Many of us were to create these according to pattern. It was only after I completed my little pile that I figured out they were not the right size. The problem was that although I always keep a 1/4 inch foot on my own machine my daughter does not. All my blocks were just a little too small...but still good. So I changed the foot, created a correct pile for the charity quilt and brought these home...broken, but still good.

Barn Quilt

This was made as a Christmas gift (215) for good friends of our who love old barns. The barns were from panels I purchased and then created 9" different blocks that might go with the barns. I had fun doing blocks I had not done before (as I am new to quilting) and one block gave me an idea for my next quilt. :) It was quilted by a local long arm quilter.
