My Lost and Found
Well, once upon a time....
I wanted to make denim quilts from old pants and garment sewing. I had a good selection of color and arranged them in a pleasing manner. I thought it would be nice to have some flannel in the middle to aid in these cold N.D winters! I asked my DH if I could send at least one quilt out to be quilted, he said I could. I was sooo excited!! This was the one. I serged around the outside edges and sent it away. When it returned, I was horrified to see the wrinkled border and a note, "Good luck with the binding!" $80.00 for my fault at sending this off to be quilted, I was so upset, that it was tucked away in a box not to be seen again for another 14 years. This was the reason I asked to get a long arm of my own. They floated the quilt, it had lots of backing so that wasn't the problem. It was the quilter who didn't focus on their task. I almost want to take it apart and redo it. Thoughts anyone?
