Memory Quilt *Two of them)
A new neighbor moved in next door. She heard I made quilts and asked me to make one for her to give to her Mom. It seems her brother was killed in a construction accident. She said it was Tee shirts but most were sweatshirts so thickness so uneven. I had never made a tee quilt before, but my friend who use to own a quilt shop gave me advise. The first photo (twin size) is the second quilt I made for neighbor. The first quilt I made (2nd photo) is large 14 inch squares of items given with his photo and I embroidered his name on the pink one. Not showing that part. Her Mom got it on Mother's Day, loves it and of course cried. As I some material left I just finished the 2nd smaller one for her yesterday. . The back and trim of both are New England Patriot's material, a favorite of his I was told. No plans to make any more of these, very labor intensive for sure. Hardest part was getting those pockets off the sweatshirts without making a hole.
