Simple Squares on Point
I watched a tutorial featuring this quilt pattern with Jenny from Missouri Star Quilts and really loved it. I had four sets of charm squares that I had been trying to find the perfect project for. The original pattern called for 10" squares and 2 1/2" strips. I used 5" squares and 1 1/2" strips. I also used 128 squares (8 x 16) rather than the 72 (6 x 12) in the pattern.

I really liked the snowball star quilt tutorial. I chose to do it scrappy. I knew it would look different but I did not expect this different! I really love it though. In fact, I decided to keep it for myself. I tend to give away 95% of the quilts I make.

Using Scraps
I sew so much I constantly have scrap strips or pieces. I wanted to use them and saw this design on Pinterest and thought I could make it. I used 1.5" strips and pieces to make this quilt. Hope a child likes it!
