This is a Judy Neimeyer pattern and is all paper-pieced...except for the appliqué pieces. It was my first real attempt at paper piecing and it was challenging. I love how it turned out. I want to do some fancier quilting on it than I can do on my domestic machine. So I’m hoping to have access to a long arm some day. I believe this is one that I won’t be giving away! Lol

Indian Summer

A Judy Niemeyer quilt pattern made from a kit. It is made from batiks and is totally paper-pieced. Her quilts are always a challenge for me, but this is one of her easier ones. I’m hoping to get it to my sister tomorrow. Crossing my fingers that she likes it.

Sailboat Jellyroll Baby Quilt

This was made with a batik jellyroll. I added appliqued boats made from regular quilting fabric. I got feedback from some wonderful quilters on the Missouri Star Quilt Forum about how to quilt it. I love the way it turned out. My niece loved it as well and hung it in the baby's room over his bed.
