I wanted to make a baby quilt for my daughters friend. She's native so I wanted some themed fabric. So I went to MSQC and of course found the perfect panel and coordinates. I made some disappearing 9patches and bordered the cute little Indian girl panel. She loved the quilt so I'm sending a picture for you all to see.

My Very First Quilt!
After several years away from sewing, my dear cousin convinced me to start quilting. I finally jumped in as I've always wondered if i could quilt. I needed to get my hands going again, so I decided on a Jelly Roll Race design. I've always wanted an elegant Christmas Quilt to drape over the back of my sofa next to the tree, and I think I've finally found the perfect one! Bea-naners Quilt
This is a pixel quilt of my English Springer Spaniel, Anne nicknamed Anna Banana...Bea-naners...Bea. I was inspired by Andi Herman's Pixel Pup quilt in the current issue of Love of Patchwork and Quilting magazine. The quilt size is 50 x 60 and designed, pieced and quilted by myself. I created the first tote bag after watching Jenny's tutorial. That was in 2012. The bag has been used almost every day since I made it, and it has been washed quite a bit, too, so it was time for a new one. I used the same materials - old jeans, printed denim, and some canvas (for the lining). For both bags, I added a magnetic snap closure. For the new bag, I added some internal packets and practiced my ruler quilting.

Peggy's Quilt #11 - Periwinkle
This is my 11th quilt, which I call my Periwinkle Quilt. It's 90"x84" and I worked on it between October 2015 and May 2016. This quilt used the Periwinkle pattern from MSQC, and a fabric collection by Kaffe Fasset. It's a different sort of quilt in that I used lightweight 'Lawn' fabric for the background and backside fabrics, and silk/polyester (90/10%) batting. It was a long haul to cut and paper-piece 210 blocks and then sew them together, and then sew on 3 borders. I sent it off to Lyn Durbin at Camlyn Quilts for custom long-arm quilting on April 2, 2016, and picked it up on May 17th. The hand-sewn binding was finished on May 19th. There are 4 pillowcases (sewn in March 2016) that complete the set. I love quilting! Peggy
