Applique is a technique that I always wanted to try so here it is. This is my first and possibly my last. I wanted the elephant to be doing something so I incorporated a paint brush that is her tool for painting the flowers in her quilt. The photos don't seem to show just how cute this actually came out. I also introduced some machine embroidery with the 2 blue birds and the honey bees. I used two different flannels on the back and placed double batting under the elephant. This is my own design.
