I loved this piece of fabric and could't find a quilt pattern that I thought would compliment it until I saw Jenny's video on the Dutchman's Puzzle. I had never done prairie points before and didn't know how to do them but I gave it a go anyway. I thought they worked well with the pattern.

Cookie Exchange/Challenge

A group of quilting friends decided instead of a cookie exchange we would have a strip exchange. We were all to bring 42 assorted strips (either cut from yardage or a jelly roll) in a spring theme. Then we choose 42 strips to take home - had to be ones we didn't bring! The challenge was to make something from our chosen strips and bring it to the next meeting to share.

Autograph Quilt

My young grandson is a hip hop dancer so I made him this quilt to collect autographs from other dancers he met at competitions. The white spaces are where the signatures go. The sneakers in the centre were my fist attempt at appliqué and the pattern is my own design.
