I'm from Wisconsin, where we quilt during the winter because it's too cold to go outside. I currently live in Arkansas, where we quilt in the summer because it's too hot to go outside! I've been quilting for almost ten years. I love traditional quilts & 30's fabrics. I prefer to make a quilt top & have someone else do the actual quilting. I LOVE EPP & hand piecing!

Arkansas Autumn
This is a table topper I made for my Mom. She loves fall colors, so I chose Phenomenal Fall by Sandy Gervais for Moda. I used the "Lil' Twister" tool, from Country Schoolhouse Designs, to create the pinwheel blocks. The layout of the topper evolved as I went along. That happens a lot with me. The picture, taken with my phone, fails to show the true colors of the fabric. They are beautiful!

Gum Log Cabin Pillow
I stitched together a 20x20 inch, scrappy Log Cabin block, added an "envelope" backing, and inserted an old accent pillow to create a new cushion for my back porch chair. The unusual project name comes from combining the name of the road I live on (Gum Log) with the name of the quilt block (Log Cabin.)
