My 1st QUILT post on QuiltsbyMe. I know, finally! Until now I've only uploaded my beginner sewing projects. This is actually my 2nd EVER completed quilt. I completed the blocks and had Ms. Marty at my local fabric shop finish off the backing, binding and quilting. Thanks to MSQC's tutorial, my LOVE NOTES quilt was fast and easy. Halloween Glows

I love the fun of Halloween. The embroidery designs called me and of course I had to incorporate the use of glow in the dark thread. This quilt used jelly roll Halloween themed fabric with a double irsh chain pattern.

Ninga's stars

When my grandson was first learning to talk, he called me Ninga. That was his way of saying grandma. The name stuck and 12 years later I am still Ninga to my grandkids. When I asked him if I could make him a quilt he said he would like it soft and "manly." So I made it with all flannels and wool batting. It turned out better than I expected! The Ninja stars, or friendship stars, became Ninga's stars. I hope he likes it as much as I enjoyed making it for him.

A Quiet Oasis

I fell in love with Metallic Oasis Patty Cake when it was the Daily Deal, but we were in the process of getting our house ready to sell. I didn't have time to focus on making a quilt. It took a while, but I finally had time to work on it. Then after another while, I had time to quilt on it, and after months (which is so unlike me) I finally had the quilt ready to put on our bed. DH can finally brag that he has a quilt for each season for our bedroom.
