The Kitchen Sink Quilt
Recently back into quilting after almost 10 years, I have lots and lots of fabric. I wanted to use up some of it so I could justify buying new stuff, so I decided to design my own quilt. I did it the hard way by cutting each piece for a row, sewing it together, and then taking out new fabrics for the next row. I reused many fabrics but didn't cut all of one fabric at once because I was just winging it. When my grown-up granddaughter saw the first couple of rows, she said "It looks like you used everything but the kitchen sink!". Hence the name. I love white sashing and the brightness of the quilt, but I probably won't do it again!! It's one of a kind.
