TIE fighter by Tristan

When he was 8, our grandson had a fleeting interest in quilting and major interest in Star Wars. He wanted to make a quilt, so this is his design. One side is pieced very simply. The other side has a TIE fighter in glow in the dark fabric appliquéd on a starry sky background. The appliqué TIE fighter and rays surrounding it show thru to the other side. Sewn with glow in the dark thread it seems to slip through the night in his room. I helped, but he designed and sewed most of it on his own. Maybe his first and last quilt.
