Crystal Stars, aka "Ocular Migraine."
The "aka" came from my husband. The design was inspired by “Sumptuous” from Connecting Threads, which was only available as a kit.

Most of the fabrics came from my stash.
I eliminated a lot of the seams by making a star block and an alternate block, described in my blog post from September 2014.

My friend Julie took nearly a year to quilt it. Her quilting was worth the wait.
