My Great Neice is expecting her first baby on Christmas Day this year and the theme for her nursery is Elephants. I searched for a pattern that I liked and fell in love with this one. I quilted this quilt on my domestic sewing machine and tried doing more than my usual stitch in the ditch.

Building Blocks by Moda Bake Shop pattern

I found this darling baby fabric so then I found the pattern for free on Moda's web site. It goes together easily. You don't have to have the center square monogrammed, but I thought it made it special. I put Cuddle Cloth on the back of both quilts. Moms and babies love it! I have one pink quilt & one blue quilt pictured.

"Christmas Trees" Gifts

Watching You Tube Videos, one quilter suggested to save all scraps even the stuff left over from squaring up blocks. I was on my third upgrade of bigger box for these scraps, therefore, I needed a project that would help me downsize. On You Tube I found a video from Debbie Shore, Fabric Christmas Trees for me to stuff. I have 3 sets done and about 5 sets to finish. I also have 9 days left until Chirstmas. . . . . . Small Christmas Wall Hanging

Each year my husband exchanges gifts at work . He works at our church. So this year for the Pastor I made this small wall hanging of the Lord's Prayer. I have several of these in my stash box. I framed it with Stained Glass Window 2 1/2 jelly roll strips from a large Jelly Roll I got from Jenny Dolan at Missouri Star. Turn out well and I even quilted the item myself. Just learning how to do that with a machine by the way not by hand.

Seeing Jenny Doan's X's and O's tutorial and with a friend's baby (expected girl) shower, I had such fun with 2 MSQ charm packs of pinks and other pastels in making this. She arrived safely, enjoying the company of her parents and her big 2-year-old brother.

Louisa's Quilt

Louisa is my granddaughter. She is a beautiful four years old and full of life. Her nursery was full of butterflies and flowers. Her mother and I are a fan of those. Farm Girl Vintage
