I began quilting in late 2014 after making a baby quilt for a soon to be great nephew. Then I was hooked. 2016 is the year I am making a quilt for each of my siblings and my daughter so it is pretty much a full time job for this slow quilter at this point. I think for the most part I have both the cutting and piecing down accurately with lots of starch to assist with triangles. I am still learning to fmq on a domestic machine, and probably will be for a long time, I have mastered SDI but I want to be able to do at least motifs without needing stencils sometime soon. I have said "what would I do without google and youtube?"many, many times in the last few years. In particular, I have watched every Jenny Doan video a lot more than once.
