With real excitement I started this quilt 15 years ago under the watchful eye of a local lady who is an absolute master at these. It seemed to go on forever until I got a little tired of it....I got to a point where I just put it away and forgot about it for some time. Then last year I promised myself that I would get it out and FINISH it this year. I brain stormed & pondered for hours over how I would finish it from the blocks to completion. FINALLY, Ta'dah it is done!! I love how it has turned out and very thankful that I can tick it off the list of UFO's

Simple Squares on Point

I watched a tutorial featuring this quilt pattern with Jenny from Missouri Star Quilts and really loved it. I had four sets of charm squares that I had been trying to find the perfect project for. The original pattern called for 10" squares and 2 1/2" strips. I used 5" squares and 1 1/2" strips. I also used 128 squares (8 x 16) rather than the 72 (6 x 12) in the pattern.

This was a kit from Connecting Threads. I made it for a friend who has moved out of state, the colors were chosen specifically for her new place. It's a good sized throw, 50 x 66. I quilted free motion loops.

Cacti Table Runner

This was made for a dear friend for Christmas. Used Jenny's tutorial and pattern pieces. Was able to use scraps from my leftovers. Wonder under to hold pieces down before stitching around each piece. A simple small stiple to finish it off. I rolled the backing over to front finishing the edges. Size is 38 x 11 3/4.

China Cabinet Cover For My Mom

I've made some covers for my moms cabinet, only two. Thought she'd like a new one. I had this leftover material from the valence and pot holders for my friend. It spoke to me to use it for this purpose. Size is 13.5 x 31 I used bias tape for binding. I used my walking foot to quilt straight lines, or just followed lines on the fabric design.
