Spools
This spool block was the included in the 2014 Aurifil Designer of the Month series and I wanted to create a quilt just using that block and a jelly roll of batiks a friend had given me. I decided to include a significant amout of negative space in the quilt for balance. I also wanted to use the space to practice a dense quilting pattern with the longarm machine.
