This quilt was made from my son's dress shirts, t-shirts, uniform pants, boxer shorts, patches and favorite fabric (blue starred background). I made this for my daughter for her birthday in memory of her brother who we lost too soon.

Cross Country Trip

In 2014 we traveled by motorcycle from Seattle to South Carolina to attend a motorcycle convention. We collected t-shirts as we went through each state and I made my first t-shirt quilt after we returned home (8,000+ miles later). I also embroidered small road signs as part of the design.

One of my son's "brothers" from the fire station asked if I'd consider making a t-shirt quilt for him as a family heirloom to pass on to his son. I was proud to say "yes" and these are some of the shirts ready for placement.
