Fence Rail Quilt Top

This quilt is for one of my brothers, so I wanted a design that wasn't fussy. The rail fence pattern was a perfect choice. A jelly roll from the Union Blues collection was used, as well as coordinating fabric for the two borders. The backing will be cream and I hope to use a navy blue thread for the quilting.

Little Miss Sunshine

I fell in love with Lella Boutique's new line "Little Miss Sunshine" and I bought a couple charm packs on pre-sale. I wanted to make something a little more traditional but with a twist. I found the tutorial "Great Granny Squared" on the Moda Bakeshops site and knew it was perfect. This also was my first time to machine bind and I love it!

Tooie's 90th Birthday

My grandmother, who's nickname is Tooie, turned 90 last September (2015) and I wanted to make a special gift for her. I had just started quilting and wanted to make on for her to keep her warm and feel loved. This was my second quilt I have ever made- I was lucky because the pinwheels were pre-cut by an Accuquilt machine. i quilted by stitching in the ditch so that when it's turned to the back there is a pretty criss-cross pattern. She was so surprised and she uses it all the time. I'm so glad I made it!

Sew Fun

I'm doing a Mini Quilt of the Month thru Intrepid Thread and this was the first one we did. They sent all the fabric and I used a stripe I had in my stash to bind it. This is so cool- I love it- and it hangs up in my quilting space.

Love for Luna

I watched the Crafty Gemini Creates tutorial on paper piecing hearts and wanted to make a mini quilt for our new bedroom in our new house. I used Bonnie and Camille "Hello Darling" fat quarters I had bought from my LQS and quilted it in the ditch. After I made it, my husband was looking at it and his cat Luna came over and started loving on it. She is the sweetest cat who just wants to be held and loved all day long. Both my husband and I knew it was meant for her. She now has a little blankie to help keep her warm.

Great Day for a Picnic

I was given 2 charm packs and decided to combine them with a white tone on tone in a simple pattern to make a quilt that could be a child's quilt or a table topper or a "table" for a spring picnic. The quilting was done with 2 different variegated threads that coordinated with the charm fabrics.

Baby Giggles

I made two of these quilts for two nieces who are each expecting a baby girl this summer. The pattern is Giggles from Jaybird Quilts. The fabric is Dot Dot Dash! from Me & My Sister Designs for Moda. I'm really happy with how these turned out. They are only the third and fourth quilts I have ever finished.
