Strips and Strings-Shapes

My problem is I can't throw any scrap away! The bins with strips are overflowing so I thought I needed to use them. I just started sewing strips together and then decided to make these shapes to add a little interest. Hope it keeps a child occupied for a while.

String Me Along

This pattern was designed by Dodi Lee Poulsen for Fons and Porter. I am overrun with strips and strings and this seemed like a good way to use some of them up.

Hearts to Flowers

The blocks were originally to have been 16 patch hearts set on point. I decided to see if I could come up with another design and they seemed to fit as flowers. Made with donated scraps cut into 2" squares.
