Youngest son's quilt
Mu youngest son has watched me make quilts for all the new babies in the family and asked if I would make him one. He's 14 btw, so we searched out fabrics in colors he loved and I made this string quilt. I don't think it has been off his bed since.

Pond in the Meadow
Inspired by a jelly roll of batiks. I made all the blocks then then realized the only thing I had that matched for a border was an echinacea print from Micheal Miller. It looks like a pond in a meadow of wildflowers to me, so I use it in the dead of winter to remind me spring's just around the corner!.

I saw this pattern on Pinterest in black, white, and gray. I decided it had potential to be brighter and ordered layer cakes in RJR's Tropicana and Moda's Bella Solids. It was very quick to do using Jenny's HST technique and I think my son's girlfriend will like her birthday present.

Little Big Rail Quilt
I found these strips from the RJR Little Big Quilts line (reproductions) and they looked so tasty. I figured out how to make an 80x80 quilt from one set and was very pleased with the plan. However, not so pleased with the execution! It's just not as pretty as I'd pictured in my head! Still, I can used the idea on any strip set to get a big quilt with a small investment. Haven't quilted this one yet.

Swirly Log Cabin
I made this Curved Log Cabin quilt for my children. I used the creative grids log cabin tool and found it very easy to use and put the whole thing together. I quilted it into 4 quadrants with a walking foot. It was a lot of fun to make and hassle free since everything was squared up so well. I do suggest using a design wall to figure out how the blocks go. My kids love it and are curled up on the couch with it now.

I finally finished curved log cabin quilt that will be a wedding gift for my husbands' cousin this June. I stitched in the ditch a lot! Took lots of hours to complete! So glad I'm done and I love the way it turned out!

Hawaiian Fire Island Hosta Queen
I have updated this with the full top done as the main picture instead of the pieced picture and now have included the quilted pictures as it has been quilted, bound and is finished! It's a Judy Niemeyer pattern. It received a Best of Show for 2016 at our local guild's quilt show!
