Hexie Blocks and Birds
This one started out as a project my daughter was making. I was teaching her how to do the hand embroidery around the appliqued birds. The birds long legs are also hand embroidered. But after a while she got bored with it and so it sat for a few years. Then I decided to finish it up and added the hexagons to the middle area. Pretty pleased with how it turned out!
