Aprons and Old Canning Jars

I desired greatly to make a periwinkle quilt and in 2018, finally accomplished just that. I loved the snowball effect made by the assembly of tiny kites and became fascinated with foundation piecing. As I worked - the "snowballs' started looking like the bottoms of old aqua blue canning jars. As a former antique dealer - that really pleased me. By the time I finished the foundation piecing, I had decided to border it with canning jar labels and canning jars for borders. I used a stylized aqua/white canning jar fabric for the back and I daringly put it on my dining room table and made a tablecloth of it!
