Friendship Braid

This quilt was specifically and specially made for a dear friend in my church. She was the life and logic of everything good. I had started this quilt for her, and was afraid I may not get it finished before she died. She had cancer and was getting better it seemed, but then it had spread and the doctors did not have any more they could do for her. I did complete it and was able to give it to her, so happy she enjoyed it for a while. She loved the fall season and the fall colors. I see it every week in the church where we meet and am reminded of her, her love, her sense and her hope for a better world.
