My First Quilt

My mother always sewed and made many of our clothes(my twin and I) and all through school, staying up to always finish something special for us, or clothes we just thought we had to have. She was the most giving and sacrificing person I have ever known. After she died, we had lots of scrap fabrics, so I got the quilting bug, and decided to make a simple 9 patch in her memory. It wasn't perfect, but I know she would have loved it and been very proud of all the ones I have done since. Even if many have been for friends and family, they have been quality quilts. Mother loved beauty and quality in everything.
