Gayle's Very First Quilt

I fell in love with the "Low Country Indigo" fabric and had no real idea what I would do with it, but eventually decided on a very simple modified 9-block. When I noticed that MSQ had the "Low Country Indigo" layer cakes on sale this week, I thought I'd share my project and show one way to use this wonderful fabric. This is my FIRST full sized, pieced quilt top that's made it to the long arm machine. I've been quilting less than a year and my first attempt(s) were awful (crooked, bad color choices, poor execution, etc). Since trying my hand at quilting, I've developed a greater understanding and a HUGE appreciation of the time, knowledge and dedication that goes into each quilting project.
