Wildlife quilt

My grandson loves the outdoors and will soon be a graduate of Western Colorado University in Gunnison, CO with a degree in wildlife biology. When I saw the Alpine Woods 10" squares on a Weekly Deal I purchased enough to make the quilt for John. It was perfect with the wildlife prints and the colors are his favorites. It looks very manly in the finished form. I decided to put a border of trees on the top of the quilt to make it unique. I'd seen this idea on a Moda site showing a Christmas quilt. I pretty much designed my own quilt using joining techniques I learned on Jenny's tutorials.
