Family Tree Quilt

I wanted make something for my Mom-n-law. She's more that just a Mother-n-law, she's been a second Mom going on 38 years. Seems we just "clicked" before her son and I did. lol. She's the person that everyone calls on whenever there's a problem. So, I decided to build her a quilt. She had seen a pic of a tree on facebook...So, I decided that's the one I'd do. From a picture! Been working on that tree for a year! Ran into all kinds of problems. Fabric stretching, puckering, I'd patiently rip it out and start over only to discover once I started quilting it, the borders were wavy. Grr. So, it has pleats in the border. Only someone who knows "quilty" stuff will notice what happened. I've done some "show & tell", and no one noticed or at least they didn't say anything. ;)
