Peggy's Quilt #19 - Scrappy Sampler
PEGGY'S QUILT #19 – SCRAPPY SAMPLER IN REDS AND CREAMS My 19th quilt! This 2017 project was inspired by the very first quilt pattern I ever bought (in about 2010): “Round Robin” by Julia H. Hale for Bits ‘n Pieces, pattern #1110. The original quilt had an applique center with 42 6” blocks, side setting trianges and lots of sashing and borders. I decided I simply wanted to make all 42 blocks in reds and creams instead of actually following the pattern. While working on other projects, I did a few blocks at a time between February and August 2017. Putting them together with the 9-patch blocks and sashing was pretty fun. The backside is off-white flannel and the batting is Hobbs 80/20 Cotton/Poly. The free-motion long-arm quilting design is called Echoed Hearts, and was done by Lyn Durbin (Camlyn Quilts). Quilt size: 67”x76”. I love quilting! Peggy
