Disappearing Hourglass

This is my first quilt. My dear niece came to visit and decided that I needed to make a quilt to hang on the wall of our new condo. We loved Jenny's Disappearing Hourglass, but since my niece was only here for the weekend, we didn't have the time to order the layer cake. So off to the LQS we went, armed with some fabric swatches to help with our color selections. By the time the weekend was over, all the fabric was cut, and I was given very clear instructions on putting the blocks together. We even had time to make a couple before she had to go back to Colorado. After many emails, phone calls, plus the help of a gal who lives in my building that makes beautful quilts, I got it done, and it is now at the LQS being quilted. Unfortunately there is a 12 week wait....so I'm trying my best to be patient.
