Ben's Railroad

I was traveling last summer and found a layer cake of train fabric and a coordinating panel. My 5 year old grandson is in love with trains and knew I had to buy them. Had no idea what I would do with them. Ben's mom posted she would love a train quilt for Ben. Since his birthday was quickly approaching I decided on a simple design. Put several frames around the layer cake pieces . I used the panel to make a medallion for the center. My friend Mary did a great job of quilting the top for me. Ben loves it!
