Mimi’s Quilt
This is my third quilt, and is for my sister, Mimi. I started it before Christmas; it was to be a lap quilt of 2x3 12” blocks. I wanted to do something different from the lattice-and-posts I had done on my two previous quilts, and found these magical interlocking squares (on the inter webs, of course!). Next thing I knew, it had grown to 7’ x 4.75’! While this is all hand-pieced, we decided to have it professionally quilted because it would likely take me 85 years to quilt it by hand!! I am absolutely thrilled with the quilting Joanna Marsh did. I’m now halfway done with the front side of the binding (also hand-sewn), so the end is in sight!!
