Imperial Charm

I needed a very special "Welcome Back" gift for my step-daughter who had been out of touch for a number of years, then 'found' her dad and me thanks to Facebook. It was a wonderful reunion!! I used two different layer cakes by Studio RK for Robert Kaufman, "Imperial Collection 10 Blue" and "Oriental Traditions Indigo" - both purchased so long ago that I doubt they are still available. Jenny's "Charm Quilt on Point" tutorial made the quilt top a breeze. The free motion quilting was another matter altogether! I push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new with each quilt I make, so for this one, I tried my hand at paisley feathers in the border (thanks to Angela Walters' tutorial!!) Stitched not with perfection, but with love!
