Karen's Disappearing 9Patch

i made this quilt for my friend's 60th birthday. I chose Kaffe Fassett Octopuses Garden as these are her colours. The Disappearing 9Patch is because she and her husband are always disappearing off in their caravan. For the back I chose a fabric that reminded me of seaweed to fit in with Octopuses Garden. She also loves the sea. I free motion quilted this myself. I added plain real green for the centre blocks to make the quilt appear less busy. I did not quilt the plain green squares to make them pop out. I am happy with the result. I hope she is too.
