Winter Forest with crossed canoes

I made this flannel quilt for my brother. I used Moda's Winter Forest collection. I designed the quilt to include the sable panels alternating with paper pieced crossed canoe blocks. As my brother lives at the "foothills" of the Adirondacks it was the perfect quilt for him. The fabric in this collection is sooo soft. I love it. It was quilted by a local long arm quilter.
