Sweet Sixteen

A Nurse friend of mine wanted a bright pink quilt for her daughters 16th birthday in 3 years (that was a year ago). Ann American Patchwork Mag, came in the mail just at that time and I went crazy with color as usual. The name of the Quilt is Bursting with Blooms by Diane Nagle of Peddlecar Quilts. A lot of FMQ and a little hand quilting the center. Is ready for birthday in a couple of years. Am keeping it as my daughter is to visit in a week and I wanted to show it to her. By the way, when first picking out the material my daughter was totally skeptical and asked "Mom are you sure???" No I was not sure but proceeded at a hi rate of speed so I would stay ahead of the doubts. When the doubts caught up with me I firmly smacked them down and went ahead.
